More Good News for Acai Juice lovers | First Acai study on people confirms antioxidants absorbable by human body
The Acai berry is the new craze in the health food market; Acai supplements manufacturers are spending mass amount of dollars on Acai advertisements. Texas AgriLife Research is the first institute that held a research on a team of 12 healthy volunteers; these twelve people were given single dose of Acai juice and pulp with half concentration of anthocyanins as pulp; their urine and blood samples were collected at 12 and 24 hours after consuming Acai juice and scientists confirmed increase in their total antioxidant level. Scientists explain Acai fruit low in sugar with a mixed taste of red wine and chocolate. This was the very first Acai study on human beings confirming that antioxidants from Acai berry are easily absorbable by human body.
The main concern of AgriLife research was to verify the good health attributes of Acai berry on human health; Texas AgriLife Research was published in a recent issue of the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry. The next objective of scientist is to judge how Acai can help in fighting against various illnesses to make proper recommendations of Acai and its sub supplements.
